Welcome to Krav Maga Detroit (KMD), your training center to get in the best shape of your life while learning self defense for the real world. For men and women alike, KMD teaches Krav Maga, the official self defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces.  Krav Maga is based on simple principles and instinctive movements and stresses both physical and mental conditioning in realistic training scenarios.  No prior experience in a marital art is required …just come ready to enjoy learning in a supportive, group environment.

Krav Maga’s not enough for you?  KMD’s certified instructors also teach Monkey Bar Gym (MBG) to complement the physical conditioning of Krav Maga.  MBG incorporates whole body conditioning in a team atmosphere utilizing basic movement exercises, Russian Kettlebell and Eischens Yoga.  MBG also includes Kickboxing …that is Krav Maga style, to improve strength, power and endurance and loose weight while building muscle.

For those looking for a fight program but don’t want to become a professional fighter, KMD offers Fight Club.  Fight Club is fun and challenging, providing levels of training to build your knowledge and confidence in sparring while at the same time improving your fitness.

Start young! …our KMD Youth Program teaches the fundamentals of Krav Maga to boys and girls ages 5 – 14 years old in a dynamic, group environment.  No prior experience in a marital art is required.

KMD offers a Women Only Program that incorporates methods to build women’s fighting spirit and to train them how to respond both mentally and physically in a time of need, eliminating the danger of “freezing” or “shutting down” in a confrontation.

  2. Email class name/dates/times to info@KMDetroit.com
  3. Our staff will confirm your reservation in a day or two.
  4. Bring/wear gym clothes & carry your tennis shoes to the training center.
  5. Arrive 30 minutes before the class start time.

Or just stop by and watch a class through our lobby observation windows.
