Meet real life heroes. Hear their own Words
A Memorial will be held commemorating the victims and first responders on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, followed by a fundraiser to benefit Operation Homefront Michigan.
From keynote speaker Major General Richard Stone, to wounded soldiers and their families, you can hear the stories of those who served, those who gave everything, and those who were left behind. After the memorial, Krav Maga self-defense seminars and tin can raffles will help us raise $25,000 for Operation Homefront.
The Memorial and fundraiser are organized by Krav Maga Detroit and will be held at their training facility located in Troy. All proceeds will benefit the military families and wounded warriors right here in Michigan. Information about Operation Homefront is provided below.

Operation Homefront provides emergency assistance for our troops, for the families they leave behind, and for wounded warriors when they return home. The majority of their clients – 96 percent — are the lowest-paid service members; the E1 through E6 enlisted ranks. The target population is American military personnel and/or their families who have unmet needs due to death, injury, physical or mental detriment, or financial hardship as a result of service in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The emergency financial assistance is paid directly to mortgage lenders, auto mechanics, contractors, hospitals, doctors, dentists and other providers. As Sarah Davis, President of Operation Homefront Michigan states, “Operation Homefront Michigan is honored to support those who have sacrificed the most in defense of our country.”
Operation Homefront, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is proud to earn the highest rating – four stars – for four straight years from Charity Navigator, the nation’s top independent evaluator of nonprofit organizations.
