On Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 12 noon – 2 pm, Krav Maga Detroit will host a fund raising event for the families of our active and fallen Michigan Heroes. All proceeds will be donated to the Michigan Chapter of Operation HomeFront, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that has earned the highest rating by Charity Navigator for three straight years, with 95% of donations going directly to their programs.
With a number of our members being military, former military, law enforcement officers and firefighters, Krav Maga Detroit is honored to show our appreciation for their service by hosting a fundraiser supporting the efforts of Operation HomeFront and consisting of a two-hour self defense seminar, raffle and door prizes. If you cannot attend but would like to support Operation HomeFront, then make out a check to “Operation HomeFront of Michigan” and mail it to KMDetroit or just drop it off at our training center.
The seminar is open to men, women and teens alike and will cover basic self-defense and weapons defense. To register, please email Lisa at Info@KMDetroit.com. Wear gym clothes, or you can change in our locker rooms. Also bring water, a hand towel and personal identification. Please arrive 30 minutes early to sign a waiver. Here are the details:

Operation HomeFront is a national organization that serves by serving our American military and their families who have unmet needs due to financial hardship, death, injury, or physical or mental detriment as a result of service in Iraq or Afghanistan. Krav Maga Detroit teaches the official self-defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces that has been taught to hundreds of law enforcement agencies, the military forces and thousands of individuals in the United States. Pawel Cichowlas, owner and chief instructor, is a certified Black Belt instructor, Force Training Division instructor and has taught Krav Maga to civilians and law enforcement personnel in the US and abroad.
